MPI to Co-organise ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008 |

After two successful staging of ITMA ASIA in 2001 and 2005, Meeting Planners International has achieved another milestone. It will be co-organising the combined textile machinery show, "ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008" in Shanghai in 2008.
Recently, CEMATEX (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers), CTMA (China Textile Machinery Association), CCPIT-Tex (the Sub Council of
Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) and CIEC (China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation) signed a long term co-operation pact, starting with a combined textile machinery show in 2008.
This first combined exhibition, "ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008" will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai from 27 to 31 July 2008. It will be organised by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd, an exhibition management company owned by CTMA and CCPIT-Tex. To read more, please click here.

MP Asia Pte Ltd has been appointed as event manager of
the 5th ACCSQ TMHS PWG Meeting organised by the Health
Sciences Authority (HAS) of Singapore. The event will be
held from 27 to 28 July 2006 with a pre-meeting seminar on
26 July 2006. Eminent international speakers in the areas of
Traditional Medicines and Health Supplements will be invited
to share their expertise at the meeting which will be
participated by the ASEAN Drug Regulatory Authorities, ASEAN
Secretariat, the World Health Organization and trade
representatives.

Association of Singapore, Singapore Manufacturers’
Federation, Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine
Organisations Committee, Singapore Pharmaceutical
Manufacturers’ Council, the Singapore Pharmaceutical Trade

Diplomatic Conference for
the Adoption of a Revised Trademark Law Treaty |

More than 650 top policymakers and intellectual property rights experts from 183 World Intellectual Property Organization (Wipo) member countries gathered at Suntec Singapore from 13 to 31 March 2006 for the Diplomatic Conference for the Adoption of a Revised Trademark Law Treaty. Officially opened by Deputy Prime Minister S. Jayakumar and World Intellectual Property Organization (Wipo) director-general Kamil Idris, the event concluded successfully with 33 countries signing a treaty named after the host country - the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks. Integrated Systems China 2006 |

Integrated Systems China 2006 made its third presentation in Shanghai. Organised by InfomCommAsia Pte Ltd, it was held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 to 14 April 2006. Over 120 leading industry names were represented on the show floor, which spanned a gross exhibition area of 10,000sqm. The exhibition welcomed 9,000 participants, including several buyer groups.
A comprehensive education programme was well-attended by professionals eager to learn more about audiovisual systems and technology development in both the commercial and residential sector.
Among the highlights of the exhibition were the Residential Home Theatre and Technology Pavilion, eCinema showcase by projectiondesign, and the Multimedia Display Gallery set up by the Shanghai Multimedia Industries Association.
