ITS Thailand targets to launch Bangkok's Traffic Information Center (TIC) at ITS AP 2009
10th_its_asia_pacific.jpg   The 10th ITS Asia Pacific Forum & Exhibition is being billed as the "Smart Move" conference and focuses on intelligent ways of traveling which include the aspects of mobility, comfort, safety, efficiency and environment-friendly transportation. This conference aims to provide a leading edge forum for academic researchers as well as industry executives and experts to present and discuss novel developments in ITS applications and deployment aspects. Over 20 different countries participated at the ITS AP event last year and this year’s event is looking to be just as successful and important to the ITS burgeoning community.

In the middle of the ITS Asia Pacific exhibition floor, ITS Thailand will debut Bangkok's Traffic Information Center (TIC) for all to see. Utilizing ITS technology to transmit real time traffic information to Bangkok's motorists, the TIC is just one shining example of what ITS can do to help everyday citizens navigate urban traffic in a smooth and safe way. We hope to have the world as our audience when we debut ITS Thailand's technological achievement in the heart of Asia Pacific.

The event will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok, Thailand, 8-12 July 2009.

IRRI geraing up to the Post-harvest Rice Exhibition and Conference 2009 in order to minimize postharvest losses.
postharvest_2009.jpg   Post-harvest losses in rice make up an alarming share of overall production losses. In the developing world, these losses can reach 25% in weight and 50% of the value of total production. By minimizing postharvest losses, the rice industry can substantially increase global, national, and local rice supply.

The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and AsiaCongress Events Co. Ltd. proudly organize the Post-harvest Rice Exhibition and Conference which will be held in Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok, Thailand, 15-17 July 2009. The event will gather under one roof all stakeholders of the rice post-harvest industry.  It will bring together the world’s leading postharvest researchers, technology experts, equipment suppliers, and service providers. It will offer vast opportunities for sharing and exchanging knowledge on post-harvest issues, research, inventions, and practical experiences.
